Pep Guardiola: The coach of the decade

After a surprisingly barren opening year at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has led his side to two titles in 2017/18 with the Premier League now wrapped up with plenty of time to spare.
"It's one of the best [achievements] by far," said the coach ahead of Sunday's confirmation. "The first league with Barcelona was a dream come true and winning the Champions League against [Manchester] United was also so nice, especially the way we played."
The league trophy and the League Cup combine to bulk out the Spaniard's tally to 23 titles since he took the reins at Barcelona in 2008, a figure which no man can match. Joining him on the podium are Laurent Blanc with 15 and the 13 of Jose Mourinho over the same time period.
Staggeringly, Guardiola has won 57 percent of the titles he has competed for as a coach, with his 23 winners' medals arriving off 41 competitions.
In terms of games won, the ex-midfielder has taken charge of 516 matches and taken victory in 378 of them, at a rate of 73.25 percent. It is extra impressive when considering that he has done so across three different nations, only one of which he experienced as a player.

Following his only trophy-less career in the dugout to date, he stated that 'if I don't win titles, I won't be here for long' but now it seems difficult to foresee anything over than a period of City domination in England.
Guardiola has followed up his Camp Nou heroics, where he won the treble in his first year, and conquered a division while refusing to give in to criticism of his methods.

Although, there is plenty of reason for him to have self belief, having mopped up three LaLiga, two Copa del Rey, three Supercopa de Espanas, two Champions Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups and two Club World Cups with the Blaugrana.
Add to that three Bundesliga titles, two German Cups, a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup while in Munich for a three-year spell otherwise dogged by consecutive defeats to Spanish opposition in the Champions League semi-finals.
Only Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho have also won the top-flight division in three of Europe's big five countries, with Guardiola only failing to lift the league crown in two of his nine seasons as a coach.
Will anyone be able to deny him next season?

Spain 6 Croatia 0: Asensio leads destruction of World Cup finalists

Getty Images Marco Asensio grabbed a goal and forced four others as Spain put Croatia to the sword in their Nations League clash in Elche. Croatia suffered the biggest defeat in their history as Spain thrashed them 6-0 in Tuesday's Nations League match at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero. Marco Asensio scored once and set up four more in Luis Enrique's second match in charge, as the World Cup finalists were run ragged in Elche. Saul Niguez headed Spain in front before Asensio fired in two spectacular strikes, although the second was credited as an own goal from Lovre Kalinic. Croatia, for whom Ivan Rakitic was making his 100th appearance, rarely got to grips with their opponents and conceded three times more in the second half through Rodrigo Moreno, Sergio Ramos and Isco. The result is their heaviest ever defeat, the first time they have conceded six goals and the first game in which they have let in five since a 5-1 loss to England in 2009. Ivan S...

The Voice is over for another year with 18-year-old Ruti Olajugbagbe crowned the 2018 champion. Ruti battled her way through the semi-finals to make it to the grand final and with the support of her coach Tom Jones she was crowned the winner. She is a student and part-time carer from South-end-on-Sea. Ruti lives with her mum, dad and little brother Femi and currently attends the Youth Creation Performing Arts School in Stanford-le-Hope. She was crowned the winner on April 7 after seeing off the challenge of Donel Mangena on the final night. The teenager, who was on Tom Jones’s team, sang her way to victory, beating Donel Mangena, Belle Voci and Lauren Bannon. After performing one song and a duet with their coach, the vote was frozen and Belle Voci and Lauren were eliminated after receiving the lowest number of votes. It was then down to Ruti and Donel to go head-to-head, with them both performing one more song – and Donel’s grandma even reprised her performance from the Bl...

Why It Is Not Safe To Drive With A Donut Spare Tyre That Comes With Most New Car

Most modern cars (except for the 4×4 SUVs, bigger vans and pickups) now come with the space-saving donut tyres instead of the normal full-sized spares tyres  They are made in order to cut cost, car weight and save space in the boot . It is preferred to the heavier standard full-size tyres which creates drag and increase in fuel consumption. But they are not meant to be permanent replacements for the standard full-sized tyres. They are mainly designed to be used as a spare tyre to get you to the nearest service station or local vulcaniser where the flat tyre can be  fixed and reinstalled as soon as possible. Here are a few things to note when forced to drive with a donut tyre 1)Donut spare tyre should not be driven faster than 50 mph or 80 kph. If you are forced to use it , it is best to get it replaced as soon as possible. 2) The safe air pressure recommended for the donut tyre is 60 pounds per square inch (psi). Exceeding the 60 psi may cause explosion and acc...
