Manchester City plan to move for Mbappe if PSG are punished

Kylian Mbappe could be set for another big money move this summer if UEFA judge that Paris Saint-Germain have failed to comply with Financial Fair Play.

Manchester City are reportedly ready to pounce after Pep Guardiola was impressed by the 19-year-old when he was at Monaco but could not convince him to move to Manchester last summer.

The Mirror say that the Citizens are planning a swoop for the world's second most expensive player and are keen to add a global superstar this summer.

In January there was speculation linking Eden Hazard with a move to the Etihad, with City reportedly prepared to pay up to 172 million euros.

If Mbappe is available, as the Parisians may be forced to sell a key man, then that plan would change as PSG still have to pay Monaco to sign Mbappe permanently.

UEFA opened an investigation in September after accusations that sponsorship deals had been inflated by Qatari owners to comply with Financial Fair Play.

PSG insist that they are not concerned by the investigation and expect to be absolved of any wrongdoing when UEFA bosses meet this week.
